Job Description

The Finance team at TRG Screen is responsible for supporting the strategic growth of TRG Screen in an ever changing environment and for enhancing the company's general accounting and financial operations. Team members are responsible for all day-to-day Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Accounting activities, ensuring optimal reporting, governance, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and decision making.

We are growing rapidly and to support this growth, our Netherlands office is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant for our branch in 's-Hertogenbosch where you work together with 35 other colleagues.

TRG Screen is looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Financial Accountant that can work independently to develop and execute against plans, and a team player that works
well with cross-functional teams and external partners. This is a hands-on role and need solid understating of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting systems.

The ultimate goal of the Senior Financial Accountant is to implement best-in-class processes and procedures for the Accounting team and act as a critical member to support the financial reporting functionality of the business. The role will report directly to the Controller based in New York (HQ) and will closely work with the local as well as global finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Play critical role for monthly and annual close process including audit, while continuing to innovate to improve on effectiveness and efficiency
  • Create journal entries, account reconciliations, roll-forwards, and variance analysis.
  • Assist in monthly and annual consolidation of financial statements
  • Day-to-Day general ledger accounting of all Screen Group of entities; keep books updated for banking journals etc to ensure timely and smooth monthly closing
  • Payroll accounting – recording of payroll journals for all entities and liaise with local as well as outside third parties responsible for payroll and payroll related activities
  • Verify calculation and booking of Commission and Bonus journals for all entities into the accounting systems
  • Maintaining fixed asset records and monthly depreciation journals for all entities, liaise with Payables team for proper classification of fixed assets
  • Accounts Payable responsibilities for all foreign entities of Screen Group – France, Germany, Switzerland and Singapore
  • Inter Company accounting – creation of I/C Debtors and Creditors, bookkeeping, monthly I/C reconciliations
  • Monthly / Quarterly VAT filing for all Screen Group of entities – liaise with foreign thirdparty accountants and consultants for VAT compliances. Keeping proper VAT records for the entities
  • Weekly reporting of A/R and A/P aging to Controller and CFO for the status of Cash Collection and Cash Payments. Frequent follow ups with customers and resolving issues for the past due
  • Processing monthly corporate credit card transactions for all entities and reconciliations, keeping proper records of receipts, invoices as support for the transactions for internal controls
  • Prepare and Analyze monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations for all entities – Monthly general analysis and explanations
  • Assistance with ERP implementation
  • Provide critical support to Assistant Controller for revenue recognition process, customer billings and project accounting including any other project assigned
  • Complete the ad hoc requests as assigned by the Controller and CFO


  • Bachelor’s degree or level in Accounting
  • 4-5 years of experience in roles directly related to general ledger accounting
  • Experience in consolidation of financial statements
  • Clear understanding of Dutch GAAP standards and procedures
  • Experience with US GAAP, Twinfield, Lucanet and Sage Intacct is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluency in Dutch and English
  • Proficient with all MS Office applications
  • Advanced expertise in Excel
  • Ability to multitask and manage several projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Self-motivated, independent but also a team player, detailed oriented, strong work ethic and high integrity
